Art shows are done for me at this point and my commission pieces are almost complete.
Now is the time to reflect.
Isaiah 30:15 For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved, in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength....
As I think of this scripture, I'm sitting in my porch, hearing the beautiful church chimes from down the street. The breeze is lightly refreshing and the rustle of the trees is calming. However, every quiet peaceful noise is interrupted as the cars and trucks pass by my window. I long for the cars to leave, to hear the soothing sounds of the church chimes again. I endure the loud slowing semi engines and rolling tires on the pavement, longing for the peaceful morning to return. This is the life we live. Interruptions are everywhere drowning the peaceful voice of the Spirit of God. We must fight to enter into his rest. We must ignore the interruptions and tune our ears to the calming voice of the Lord. This is how we live in victory.
